How fit do I need to be?
Mountain biking is an active sport requiring a basic level of fitness. This combined with your on-bike experience will define the type of ride that will suit you best.
Beginner ½ day rides: You should be able to ride a bike for an hour but do not need any previous off road experience.
Intermediate ½ day rides: You should be able to ride a bike for two hours and have some previous off road experience as well as being able to cycle up moderately steep climbs.
Advanced rides: You should be able to ride a bike all day with a variety of previous off road experience. Additionally, you should be able to bunny hop a small log, clean a one foot drop off and maintain a 5 second track stand.
